SCP 7600, 6 feet under. Part 1.

Practically all of the wonders of the world were created using massive amounts of labor,

dedicated towards a singular purpose, some of which have stood the test of time.

While likely many of them were built with slave labor, they still represent some of the pinnacles of human achievement. Of course,

in the SCP universe, there are a multitude of constructions that easily outshine anything

created by mundane humanity, and SCP 7600 is certainly one of the most

impressive. Like much of human history, however, there is a darker side to SCP 7600's

grandiosity, one that the 05 Council will slowly come to understand.

I'll note that 7600 is a sequel of sorts to the SCP-001 proposal, the Queen's Gambit,

a reimagining of the Factory-001 proposal.

In the canon of that article, Queen Mab of the Faye, along with her sister, established a vast

empire across the world until the Faye split into two factions, leading to the fall of the

empire.

SCP 1000 then became the dominant species on the planet, until Queen Mab convinced

humanity to overthrow

them, resulting in the Day of the Flowers.

The foundation eventually got involved with a horrific factory and a fairy that they thought

was Mab's sister, resulting in them eradicating the majority of the Faye population under

the assumption that they all served Mab.

It turns out though that the fairy is actually Mab herself, and the near-genocide of

the Faye became one of the foundation's biggest mistakes.

Knowledge of the events of the Queen's Gambit beyond this aren't really necessary to enjoy 7600,
