I'm Joanna Penn.

And this is episode number 745 of the podcast podcast and it is Sunday the 7th of April

24 as I record this. In today's show I have a discussion with Rachel Heron about fear of the

unknown, fear of judgment, fear of failure and how we keep writing and creating despite all of this,

as well as how to get unstuck in your book and your life.

So in publishing industry things, no news in particular, but something tangentially related to our industry. So we watched BlackBerry,

the dramatization of the story of the Blackberry, the handheld device which ruled the world before the iPhone. And those of you who are my age and older will remember it. Everyone had

their crackberry at one point. And it's a really excellent film. It demonstrates

how time changes things, because of course a lot of it's based in the 90s, the early 2000s,

and how technology moves on. And what happens when one particular technology, in this case,

the iPhone, completely upends what people thought was going to happen.

Also, why you can't hang your future on something you invented or something you did or something

you wrote a decade or so ago. You have to keep reinventing yourself and your company.
