Hey guys, welcome to an impromptu episode of Confessions of a Crappy Christian.

We haven't had an extra episode in a minute, but this week, Louisiana became the first

state to require the Ten Commandments to be displayed in every state-funded classroom across the state.

And if you didn't know, I am from Louisiana.

Born and bred, and actually never lived anywhere else.

And so I have a little bit of a vested interest,

not only as a Louisianaian, but as someone who cares about politics

and a Christian.

This is kind of an intersection of all of the things that I care about, and this was too complex

and intimate of an issue to just discuss in Instagram stories.

So we needed a little longer form content.

So when something like this happens, I tend to look at it through three lenses.

I look at it first as a Christian, second, historically, and third culturally.

That's kind of how I look at everything.

So I thought we would just walk through those three viewpoints of an issue.
