Today is a special episode of combat story where former guest and retired sniper and force

recon Marine, AJ Pachute, invited us to spend two days with the Marines of 3rd Battalion

5th Marines, some of America's finest, as they reunited 20 years after the infamous battle of

Fallujah 2 in November and December of 2004. The episode was designed to be seen on video, so feel free

to AJ for organizing and bringing this together for these Marines from Dark Horse. It's amazing

to think of these men who just walk the streets today with their families, like any other American,

where once the men we sent into arguably the hardest fighting of the post-9-11 era

to clear rooms and buildings of an entire city for days on end against a determined enemy.

Thank you to the Marines at 35 for what you did in 2004 for the rest of us.

We try to stay connected and talk about, you know, the brotherhood of how it was,

talk about the guys that we have lost and, you know, how much we miss them and how we wish we could get all of us together like this event.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Just celebrate something good and positive and not like everyone's been saying come together to a funeral. Like it shouldn't take a funeral for us to get together.

And that's a great feeling. Like it's been so long. Even, I haven't seen you in 15, 20 years. And we just embrace each other. Like it was yesterday. And I've never, and I've never had that with any other human being in my life. Right. Not friends from home, nothing. This is just a special thing between us.

Special bond for life.

A little bit more emotional.

You know, and again, most of these guys I haven't seen in 10, 15, 20 years.

I haven't seen this guy in about 10 years or so.
