In this episode, we're talking about Fatima.

In 1917, three small children from Fatima Portugal reported that the Virgin Mary had begun appearing

to them. She appeared every month on the 13th of the month, and in just a few days as we release

this episode, we'll mark the 102nd anniversary of that first event.

In July of 1917, she told the children a three-part secret, which they were not allowed to disclose

at first, and she also promised to perform a great miracle at her October appearance.

So on October 13th, thousands of people gathered there in Fatima and saw the sun do strange

things in the sky, an event now called the Miracle of the Sun.

And all of this is what we'll be talking about today on Jimmy Aiken's Mysterious World.

Jimmy, before we get into things, I understand we need to issue a couple of disclaimers. So what are they?

Well, the first one, and this kind of happens with some of our episodes because we try to keep

them reasonably length of reasonable length is we won't be able to cover everything. There's just

too much detail. A lot is known about the Fatima apparitions. And in fact, I'm going to be

recommending a book that's like a documentary history of them that is, it's hundreds of pages

long. It's you can read the documents for yourself. It's amazing. It's a really great resource.

But there's so much detail we can't go into everything. And in particular, we're unfortunately not

going to be able to talk about the third part of the secret or the third secret of Fatima, as it's
