This one's about Riflescopes and applies indirectly to second

focal plane radicals opposed to first focal plane radicals. We'll call this listener Andy, and although he's asking a very fundamental question here

it's an important one on a topic all too often misunderstood by shooters.

Andy wrote, I was listening to the podcast about setting up a Western hunting rifle.

You mentioned using Louisville's VX5 HD 3 to 15X 44 millimeter scope with a CDS

turret and staying around 7 to 10X magnification for long-range shots at game?

This may be a dumb question, but with that scope being a second focal plane scope, will

your point of impact be the same if you dialed the turret to a range, 500 yards for example,

and shot something on 7 power, versus if you did the same and shot it on 10 power.
