Hello and welcome to best laid plans. This is your host, Sarah Hart Unger, and this is the podcast where we talk all things planning and planning adjacent.

0:17.1

Today is going to be your February Q&A episode. I have a lot of wonderful questions that were sent to me over the past few weeks that I'm going to be answering today. But I just wanted to open up with a note about life lately. Things have been a little bit hectic. I have to say, I think I have lacked a reasonable work-life balance for the past few

0:42.3

weeks. And I guess I just want to admit this because I think this can happen to anyone,

0:48.9

even when you put a lot of thought into how you'd like your weeks to look and you know that

0:53.6

your ideal week doesn't include evening like your weeks to look, and you know that your ideal week

0:54.5

doesn't include evening, podcast, recording sessions, and weekend frantic writing sessions and all

1:00.9

that. Sometimes it still happens. And I made conscious choices that led me to this place right now.

1:07.0

All of this is really in service to the book that is going to come out in January, and I believe

1:12.2

it's going to be worth it. So these were knowing sacrifices that I made, and I have definitely

1:18.6

just felt overextended lately. So it's good to notice these things. I think the only thing I can

1:24.3

say is that I'm hoping that if I ever write another book, and I hope to write

1:28.1

another book, because I've actually really enjoyed it, I'll have a little bit of a longer timeline,

1:32.6

but also I think that I am going to do a really nice job of kind of balance things out over the

1:39.3

next coming months and making some of the next months a little bit easier and more family-focused

1:45.7

to balance out the past few months that were just really, really work-focused.

1:51.4

And that's both clinical work having just come off a week of call that was really busy

1:55.1

and work for the book and my courses and the projects and everything.

1:59.2

And all of it's wonderful and I enjoy doing it.

2:02.0

And I'm ready to do a little bit less of it in the coming months. So yeah, just a little

2:06.5

life update on me. I will definitely keep you updated about book news and things are going really

2:13.2

well. I'm actually getting ready to turn in basically what is my final draft. So that is super,

2:18.2

super exciting. I feel like I've reached kind of a big deal finish line in the process. And since this
