I think the satisfaction I get from helping people who have no other way out of the diabolical

situations that they're in is satisfying, even though they may have been through a lot.

Through the National Justice Project, we have given them some sense of justice, some sense

of being heard, some compensation financially for what

they've been through, and brought people to Australia when they had no hope. That's a very

satisfying moment. Let's be honest. Lawyers don't have the greatest reputation in the world.

The entire legal system often baffles us, and it sometimes feels like lawyers are these

aloof keepers of knowledge, whose allyship lasts only as long as it can be paid for.
