Hey there, hi, there, and welcome to episode 290 of connecting with Walt.

I am your host and is historian Michael Bowling, and I am joined by my co-host, executive producer

and good friend Craig Williams.

Craig, how are you today?

I'm okay.

How are you, Michael?

Oh, I'm doing well. You survived the eclipse?

I barely, you know, I kept wanting to look up at it and everyone around me kept assuring me that that would be terrible for my eyes, but it's also hard to resist.

You're like, well, is it, you know, am I going to look in the right place when I put those glasses on?

It's like, I think I need to check with my own eyes just to be sure.

But, yeah, I made it out unscathed.

Oh, good, good.

It was, I think I saw your photo from the Magic Kingdom.

Yeah, yeah, that's where I went to check it out. So we had a good little

view, was able to take some interesting photos of it from, from like the Tron Light Cycle Run area

and, you know, kind of have the partial eclipse that we had kind of angled right in between the spires of

Cinderella Castle. So I got unique shots out of it. But it's just we had like a 60% eclipse

at the peak. So it wasn't like the most exciting thing in the world. I feel like the last total eclipse we had, ours was maybe like 80% or so, maybe even a little bit more than that.
