of Concessions of a Privy Christian. I am really excited to have this week's guest with me and we are talking about something that is like heavy and sticky and doesn't get a lot of air time within the church which makes it perfect for

this podcast. Dawn welcome to the show. Thank you so much for having me

Blake. So you have a book coming out. It's even still and it is about you having an affair and that basically like getting uncovered and what that journey afterwards looked like and when this

came through my inbox I was like wow I told you before we started recording that

I've had a couple of people on the show on the other side of the conversation

who affairs were perpetuated against them and what that healing looked like but the

reality is within the economy of Christ, there is the same grace and restoration available to you.

And so I'm really, like first of all, just so proud of you for like stepping into this it cannot be easy that cannot be an easy

conversation to have and so can you just give us like a Cliff Notes podcast version of your story and what led you to

writing even still? Yeah sure so growing up I grew up in a Christian home, all the things, and kind of the life dream of, I just wanted to be a mom. I just wanted to find my husband and be a mom and I thought that was going to make me complete.

I went to college to find my husband and found him, I got married and three years later had twin boys and thought life was complete and

started to feel a void that didn't go away and I thought what is this because I have everything I ever dreamed of but what is this and I didn't want to talk about it because I felt ashamed and didn't feel like I could because going to church it seems like everybody has everything together you know that perfect

pattie thing and so I kind of just sat in isolation of that and just let it stew and it just grew and grew and
