The new wildfire warning. I'm Lisa Lacerra. Fox News. Forecasters say the Santa Ana winds that are fueling the Southern California wildfires are expected to pick up again in what the National Weather Service says is a particularly dangerous situation for certain areas already decimated by fires.

Dozens of streets, if not hundreds of streets,

almost every home is gone. And again, the destruction up there where this fire first took hold

is really something to behold when you're up close to it. And the extraordinary, unprecedented

destruction we have seen across great swaths of

the palisades like this. It is, to put it bluntly, a hellscape. It's going to take a long time

to rebuild. Fox is Jonathan Hunt in Pacific Palisades. A lawsuit filed against Southern

California Edison claims the utility's equipment sparked the Eden fire. The company has acknowledged fire

investigators are looking to the claim that its equipment may have started a smaller fire

that broke out the same day. President Biden has made additional disaster assistance available

to California. The FBI and Department of Homeland Security warning of potential

copycat attack and

responds to the New Year's Day attack in New Orleans, saying vehicle ramming is a tactic for

aspiring violent extremist attacks.

The New Year's attack by a U.S. Army veteran that the FBI said was inspired by ISIS,

killed 14 people.

The suspect Shamsuddin Jabar was shot and killed by police.

President Biden says significant progress has been made in a hostage deal with Hamas.

He says they're pressing hard to close the deal.
