Let's dive into everything baseball related from Sunday, March 23rd.

We'll start it off as always with the transactions, injuries, news, and notes from around the league,

kicking things off with our injuries as those are most important now in the final week before the

regular season. We are really entering the final week before the first day of real baseball games.

I know we had those games in Tokyo, but this upcoming opening day on Thursday is set to be

what I'm deeming real opening day.

Let's get into the injuries starting with shortstop Gunner Henderson, who is still dealing

with an intercostal strain, and he will start the season on the IL.

It looked like he may be able to push himself to start for regular opening day,

to start for opening day, but now he will start the season on the IL.

He's hoping that the injury will be measured in days rather than weeks.

And in his absence, Jackson Holiday will fill in that shortstop with Jordan Westberg and

Ramon Urias filling in at second base and third base, respectively.

Jackson Holiday should be in the lineup all year long.

And I'm not sure if the position change once Gunner Henderson gets back has any effect on his

offensive production.
