In Ecclesiastes we are told there is nothing new under the sun. As we read that, we know that it’s true here. God uses imperfect people all the time. I’m seeing some similarities between how God is using Donald Trump and how God used the kings of old.

What Does God’s Word Say?
Luke 23:44-47 The Death of Jesus
44 It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon, 45 for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. 46 Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last.
47 The centurion, seeing what had happened, praised God and said, “Surely this was a righteous man.”
Matthew 27:50-56 50 And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit.
51 At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split 52 and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. 53 They came out of the tombs after Jesus’ resurrection and went into the holy city and appeared to many people.
54 When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, “Surely he was the Son of God!”

And Ecclesiastes, we're told that there's nothing new under the sun. And some people misread

0:06.5

Ecclesiastes. It's sometimes read as licensed to do as you will. It's an explanation of what

0:13.6

life is like when you do as you will. There's nothing new under the sun. And as we read that,

0:19.8

there's nothing new under the sun here this time that's just the

0:22.8

case so there's some familiarity god uses imperfect people all the time and i'm just seeing

0:30.3

these similarities in how he's using president trump and how he's used other actual kings.

0:38.3

It's great.

0:41.7

We don't end up with a king, an actual king in this country.

0:43.5

We have a king in the form of the deep state.

0:48.7

But I believe that people, even people who can't stand his personality,

0:56.5

even people who are, well, not really that much of a fan of populism or pseudoconservatism.

1:01.5

I believe they can sense something good that's happening.

1:04.8

Let's take a look at the percentage of the country who say that we're on the right track.

1:08.3

It's actually a very high percentage when you compare it to some historical numbers.

1:11.6

What are you talking about? According to Maris, 45% say that we're on the right track.

1:14.8

That's the second highest that Maris has measured since 2009.

1:16.0

How about NBC News?

1:17.1

44%. That's the highest since 2004.

1:19.8

The bottom line is the percentage of Americans who say we're on the right track is through the roof.

1:23.7

And if you were to compare it to when presidents have historically been reelected, of course, Trump is not constitutionally eligible to run for reelection, but I think it sort of puts

1:31.0

in perspective. Forty-two percent of the country says the country is on the right track.

1:35.1

That's CNN calling that out. CNN's pollster calling that out. The country's on the right track,
