I'm looking back at my conversation with Nancy Abercrombie, a damsel director with damsel

in defense as we discuss tips and tools for protecting yourself from violent crimes.

Thank you. crimes. If you're a woman, you've likely been taught from an early age to be vigilant,

to be hyper aware of your surroundings, to avoid being alone.

Because as a woman, you're taught that you're vulnerable, that by simply existing, you have a target on your back.

Statistically speaking, women are more likely to be victims of violent crime than men.

But the best tool we possess is not a blade, nor is it mace, nor a taser.

Our most important asset is instead our situational awareness.

By enhancing our courage and intuition, we can do more than we thought possible.
