So Alex, hypothetical question for you.

If I were to say, hey, my buddy bailed, I've got a spare spot on an expedition to Everest.

You've got the next five weeks totally free. There's no like crazy conflicts in your life.

The trip is totally on me, so clearly this is like a hypothetical.

Would you go? Would you say yes to going and climbing Everest?

Yeah, I probably would. And actually, I've said this many times over the years that if somebody

offered a free trip, I'd probably go. I mean, I've never been to Nepal. Just the cultural

experience, just the travel. I mean, if it's a free trip, you kind of always have to say yes.

I mean, I feel like a big part of life is just saying yes to cool opportunities and learning along the way.

So I would probably say yes, even though I'm not really interested in high altitude mountaineering.

Has there been a point in your life where Everest ever captured your imagination, Like were you in high school reading into thin

air and thinking to yourself, well, maybe one day? Yeah, it's funny you say that because actually I did

have to read into thin air in high school. And, you know, at the time I was already a really serious

gym climber. And reading into thin air definitely did not capture my imagination in the same way that Jim climbing was.

You know, it's like it felt like a completely different world. It wasn't like I read into thin air and was like, I should do that someday.

You know, I read it and was just like, well, this is better than reading, you know, a farewell to arms or something.

But, but this is not my world. Like, this is insane.

Sometimes in our rock climbing community or sort of high-end alpinism community, there can be this,

How do you feel about it?

You know, I'm sort of turned off by the crowds in the same way that anybody else is,
