A lot to break down.

But first, maybe not so great news to kick off this edition of Football Americas, and not great news for Santos for the Brazilian national team.

Because this tough image of Brazilian star, Neymar Jr. appeared to sustain a left thigh injury in the first half of his 100th match with Santos.

That's why he was wearing that number 100.

You can tell he's clearly shaken up.

He was emotional.

Had to be taken off the pitch on a cart.

Santos coach, Cesar Sanballo said it's too early to give a diagnosis and there's no estimated

time of recovery that was given.

So this is his fifth injury this season.

He's missed a total of 174 days. This is a pattern that we've unfortunately seen with

Neymar, but this one, Shaq, it hits different because of how he was playing with Santos.

Yeah, and listen, a lot as ever expected of Neymar and discussions around his comeback and potential inclusion with Brazil for next year's World Cup.

While we remember Neymar at his absolute best, I certainly don't think I was alone in questioning whether it was right for him to be a part of the Brazil national team would he be a part of that Brazil national team but

the one thing you don't want to see players be denied is that opportunity to at least

play their way into those into those discussions and again given Namar's successes
