Spring Bear Hunting is in full swing folks.

So I'm late to the party right here, but I figured I would present you with a specialized gear list

for a certain type of Spring Bear hunting. This is in Alaska, right? So we're

expecting all kinds of different weather, probably some extreme stuff, and some gnarly conditions. We're going to be battling salt water at times. So we're

going to have special needs to take care of our rifles and so forth. We're going to have a ball. And for the first time, I'm taking

my daughter, Sophie, who will be 12 on our trip, turning 12 on our trip, for her first out-of-state hunt. This is a pretty

special thing to me and to her. So if that tells you anything it will tell you

that I'm not taking her somewhere particularly

how shall I put it not challenging this could be challenging but not so extreme and

dangerous that I'm afraid to tell to take my little girl there right?

We're going on a boat. We're going to hunt with Alaska Premier Sport Fishing,

my old friend Travis Larson and his crew and we're going to steam out of

Homer I don't know if steam is the right term but we're going to embark out of

Homer and go down along the coast of eastern Alaska and do some black bear hunting.

We'll glass from the boat, we'll get dropped off in Zodiacs along the gravelly coast,

and we'll hunt up and down the coast and there's a party of seven

of us all in all friends of mine it's going to be a great trip so thanks for
