So a lot of times people ask the question, how do I get a spiritual director?

So I want to talk about why you might want a spiritual director in a different kind of

presentation.

But this one is, how do you get a spiritual director?

Okay, here's what you can do.

You can break it down like this.

Sometimes you just go up to someone and say, hey, would you be my spiritual director?

And they say, yeah, of course I will.

And you're like, great, shake on it.

And then you shake and then you meet.

Here's what it does.

It doesn't work for you like that.

Here's what you can do.

Step number one, if you don't know where to start, if you have no idea who could be a

potential spiritual director for you, one good thing to do is to ask people who might

know who might be a good spiritual director out there.

Now some dioceses, not everyone, but some places have a list of priests or people who are

qualified to be spiritual directors, religious sisters, whatever deacons, deacons wives, to

be spiritual directors.

They might have a list for you.

If they don't, that's fine.
