Lashed by wind and sea, the Isle of Aileen Moore stood resolute in the northern waters off the Scottish mainland.

A grim sentinel of primordial rock, it rose from the abyss, towering above the frigid brine with

sheer stone cliffs.

Upon this lofty perch stood bold the lighthouse of the Flanon Isles, piercing darkness and gray

mist with a lamp that shone every 30 seconds under shroud of night.

Until that fateful winter's eve, when the lamp would go dark,

and the three keepers of the deep sea light would vanish from this cursed isle without a trace.

And it is that very mystery, perhaps hidden in the white tower or sable stone of Flannan

Island that still haunts the hearts of men who man the lights of the Northern Sea.

ripped from the headlines of 1900, and based on the factual account of relief lighthouse keeper Joseph Moore. With a dash of our own cap-fire embellishment for good measure,

we present a historic mystery and attempt to resurrect the ghost of Flannin Lighthouse.
