Welcome to the Peter King Podcast, coming to you from the first time from the Aloha State on a little family vacation this week and am really trying to divorce myself after this podcast from all NFL thoughts for a few days.

I will be back, the column will be back on Monday. I'll be back home this weekend, but we're on a little bit of a

fam vacation. But from Hawaii, I'm going to be joined by Miles Simmons, my partner at NBC Sports, and we're going to

dissect for the first time, the first 10 picks of the NFL draft. We're going to do that first. Then we're going to get

into a conversation I had. This is audio only, it will not be on the video portion of the

podcast, but audio only a conversation I had at the league meetings with Brian

Deble, the NFL coach of the Year by the Associated Press, the coach obviously of the New York Giants.

Then on the back end of the podcast, we're going to talk about a few news notes of the week. Number one, Mike Florio's story on Tuesday of this week that the Patriots have been shopping.

Mac Jones, the quarterback leads to many interesting discussions.

We will also talk about the Jim Trotter story.

You know, it's interesting, Jim Trotter,

a former Sports Illustrated peer of mine,

worked for NFL network,

and got released basically and so I talked to Trotter and wrote about him in my column this week.

The unfortunate thing is, you know, I probably should have put it higher in my column because far in a way that was the most responded to piece of my column this past week. So we'll talk about

Trotter and what his story portends. We'll also give you a little bit more of the meaning of the Thursday night flex argument that is now going on

between the league and eight of its owners and also where the Lamar Jackson story goes next,

because now it's obvious that there is not a team that is stepping up to go do a contract with

Lamar Jackson. So let's get going on this part of the podcast. In my column this week I wrote about how here's what I hear about the top

four picks in the draft and I've heard other things high in the draft. So I thought we would just go one through

ten here in the first part of the podcast, Miles Simmons and I, and then we will essentially try to project and give you our best information

that we know now about what every team is thinking and I to tell you, from having been at the league meetings
