Who were these guys? With a purposeful grimace in a terrible sound, junk food cinema hits the airwaves with me, Brian Salsberry.

And I know a lot of you are thinking, aren't the recorded intros more of a double stuff thing? Well, typically they are, but also stop questioning me.

I don't like your attitude.

This is a very special episode of Junk Food Prime because it continues the year of discovery that has been 2024 for this guy.

Whether it's been the worlds of anime, folk horror, animation, or lion attack movies,

2024 has definitely opened some doors to some interesting subgenres for this fat geek.

And that trend certainly continues today as finally, after years of laying dormant under the

oceans of the internet, the king has arrived to junk food

cinema. And I'm of course talking about Godzilla, Gojira, king of the monsters. So here's

where I must admit something quite embarrassing. I have seen none of the original Godzilla films.

I know. Cast me into the volcano with Rodan.

That means the entirety of my frame of reference coming into preparing for this episode

was the current Monsterverse and the 1998 Roland Emmerich Godzilla.

Which means that the majority of my knowledge base came more from Taco Bell commercials than it did from Japanese cinema.

And while that is also extremely on brand for junk food cinema, it is humiliating.

And I am seeking to write that wrong.

And thanks to a patron request, we are finally covering a Godzilla movie on junk food cinema.

Given this momentous occasion, I felt it only appropriate.
