Psalm chapter 67, verses 1 and 2. May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine upon us

that your way may be known on earth your saving power among all nations

whenever I come to Psalm 67 in my Bible reading I can't help but lead a pray the word episode

on these two verses because of the impact these two verses have had on my life in such a way

that these are the verses I pray over my kids every night, over my family all the time because I'll

never forget hearing,

understanding these verses for the first time.

I say hearing, maybe I'd heard them before, but not understanding them in the depth to which

they summarize God's grand purpose and passion in all the Bible and in all of history that God desires to show grace

and blessing and favor his face to shine upon his people. What a picture. We don't deserve this.

The blessing of God, his face shining upon us as sinners. What a picture of grace. And yet Psalm 67 makes clear that that grace

and blessing and favor is not intended to stop with us. Verse 2 says, so that your way may be known

on earth, your saving power known among all nations, God loves us for the spread of his love, for the spread of his grace, for the spread of his

favor and blessing to all the nations of the earth. This is why we pray every day on this podcast
