I'm Mark Stephen.

This week I've travelled up into the hills above Huntley in Aberdeenshire to meet farmer Nicky

Yoxel. Now along with a husband James, they own some Shetland and Galloway cattle known

affectionately as the wee mob. Nikki and James are fairly recent farmers and what really sets

them apart from other farmers nearby is they don't actually own any land.

We're graziers, so that basically means that we graze our cattle on other people's land.

And some of those people are looking for us to help them with biodiversity gain.

So the way that we manage our cattle is that we're moving them frequently,

and we're creating lots of rest in the system.

So the grass will be a lot longer than you might see in some other grazing situations.

And we then work collaboratively with the landowner to help them manage the land in the way that they want it managed.

And we produce 100% pasture-fed beef, which we sell to the local community and also to a restaurant
