Hello and welcome to Goop Tales. I'm Maria Kalinchini, the founder, writer, and narrator

behind these original audio stories. Goop Tales is a storytelling podcast for children, created to

ignite your imagination,

broaden your horizons, and introduce you to different cultures and exotic animals,

while also sparking important conversations about character traits.

And before I get into the details of today's story, I just want to say,

thank you for your patience. Several of you have written to me wondering where I am and if

everything's okay. And all is well in my goopy world. I just needed to take a little bit of a

break. It takes a little bit of a break.

It takes a lot of time and focus to write the stories, to research them, and then have them

edited and all of that.

And I just needed a little break over the summer.

And I'm back.

And I'm going to pick up my pace moving forward. We'll see how fast

I'm going to pick it up, but I'm definitely going to pick it up. I love hearing from all of you.

I have so many new goop ideas from all of you, literally hundreds, if not almost a thousand. I'm not sure.

So if you haven't heard your goop, it's only because I can't get to them all, but I promise you,

start with a poem. So I thought it was a great idea to have a group,
