We are two weeks from the NFL draft.

That's pretty exciting.

Two weeks from today, Thursday, Friday, Saturday.

It's a fun few days. It certainly is. This is the Eagle Eye podcast presented by Nissan, Ruben Frank,

and Dave Zengaro. Rub, do you still get amazed that the draft is like as big a deal as it is?

Yeah, and I've probably told the story about the first draft I covered. We were in a basement room at the vet.

There was maybe, you know, 20 people there.

We had a giant board where an employee of the Eagles would write the picks on a, like in Sharpie on a giant piece of paper.

And just one through, wasn't 32 teams back

then, I don't know, 20, 28, 29 teams.

And, you know, there was no coverage.

There's no live coverage of it.

So you had like, you would have a, there was no internet yet.

So you'd have a stack of draft guides.

You'd have your, your Kiper, you'd have your Joel Bushbaum, pro football weekly guide.

You'd have your R-Lads guide and maybe a couple others.

You'd have like five guys.

I remember that first year in 88, it was the year the Eagles took Keith Jackson in first round.

Peter King shows up and he's got a's got a printer, a fax machine

and like a box of printer paper and he just he sets up and just like, you know, things have

certainly changed. And there were just weren't that many people covering it back then. It wasn't,
