0:06.0	Today, Heelman chapter 7 through 12.
0:10.0	The lifelong learning overlay that I wanted to explore with these particular chapters today
0:16.0	was to look at this contrast between the natural man or woman approach to life, contrasted
0:29.6	with those spiritual attributes, the spiritual man or woman of Christ, tendencies that the Holy Ghost would inspire within us.
0:44.3	What we see as this catalyst for this contrast is God sending a prophet. And in our case today, that would be plural prophets. And
1:03.0	what happens when those prophets come into a setting and how they seriously form this catalyst for seeing these two contrasting elements of
1:17.9	humanity manifesting themselves in a variety of ways. So as you as you read and study these particular chapters and verses, look closely at not just what these
1:33.7	people back then in this time over 2,000 years ago, how they responded to prophets, but bring those principles forward in time and consider, ponder,
1:49.8	how are we doing collectively and individually with these same opportunities presented to
1:58.2	us by the prophets of God who come with messages.
2:04.4	So we open up chapter 7 with verse 1 and he says, behold now it came to pass in the 60 and
2:11.6	9th year of the reign of the judges over the people of the Nephites, that Nephi, the
2:16.7	son of Heelman, returned to the land
2:18.8	of Zahimla from the land northward. So he has been up north of Boundiful, up in the land
2:27.3	northward among the groups of people that had migrated there and even further up back in Heelman chapter 3 and also in Alma 63.
2:39.1	So as he finished his preaching among them, it says in the bottom of verse 2, he did prophesy
2:46.0	many things unto them. So he came, he delivers his prophecies, he delivers his message, and now the people
2:54.3	have their choice. The agency comes into play. Verse three says, and they did reject all his words
3:03.3	in so much that he could not stay among them, but returned again unto the land of his nativity
3:09.8	in the land of Zahimla to the south. Now this is a real tragedy because these people could
3:17.3	have had more prophecy, more revelation given to them, more direction from the prophet had they listened, hearkened,
