Welcome to Horror Movie Club, the show with two dudes who aren't quite nerds, but not quite nubes. Choose a horror movie each week to rate and review. I'm Oshvin and I'm on the phone

with Brian. And on this week's episode, we're going to be talking about the 2024 film,

Heretic, written and directed by Scott Beck and Brian Woods, and starring Hugh Grant,

Sophie Thatcher, and Chloe East.

In this film, two missionaries are invited into a man's home who claims he's interested in learning more about their religion,

but they soon discover that he's got sinister motives.

Brian, how did you feel going into this movie?

What were your expectations going in?

The previews were really prominent over the past few months, but I had closed my eyes

every time, so I had this general idea of, you know, two girls are trapped in Hugh Grant's

house, but I didn't know much more than that. I don't really feel feelings anymore when I go

into these movies. I'm just like a blank slate. I don't really feel feelings anymore when I go into these movies.

I don't necessarily mean that in a bad way, but I don't necessarily come in with a whole bunch of expectations.

I'm just, yeah, ready to take it for what it is.
