Today is a show where we're talking about motherhood.

Now, I know that motherhood is an amazing thing and it's also super hard and vulnerable

for so many people.

Mother's Day is on Sunday and I wanted to do a show where I talk about motherhood but

I don't want to just talk about how awesome motherhood is because it is.

That is true.

But I also wanted to spend some time talking about some of the hardships, the grief and the

sorrows that come along with motherhood.

I think that whether you are a mother through biological ways, through adoption, through

step parenting, through an anti-relationship or maybe you're mothering everybody on your

block or everybody in your classroom.

What we all know is that when we are spending our time caring for people and loving them,

there are hardships, there are grief and there are sorrows and we can all relate to that.

My conversation today is with Katie Ferris and Katie has a book called God Is Still Good,

Gospel, Hope and Comfort for the unexpected sorrows of motherhood.
