Hey friends this is Jonathan Helser. We are in the last few days of 2020 just a few moments

away from Christmas and what a wild crazy year this 2020 has been. I have never

experienced a year of so much pressure, so much tension, so many canceled plans,

so many answered questions. You know over and over this year I feel like we're

right in that moment that Paul penned in Romans 8 when he says that the whole

creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth.

That all of creation is waiting an eager expectation, longing to be liberated from their bondage to decay.

And as our community has entered into this beautiful season of advent, this longing, anticipation, this ache for a savior to come and fill the world with his peace

We've been experiencing some remarkable times of worship some remarkable times of the presence of Jesus coming and lifting us up out of the pressure out of the tension to see the way that he sees

And a few weeks ago we shared with you guys one of those worship moments on our

podcast and to close this 2020 we want to share with you guys another worship

moment from last week as we gathered together and you know some of you guys this Christmas

are not able to be with family, maybe you're in quarantine or you're in lockdown.

And our prayer is that as this worship moment plays, that you would be drawn into his presence.

You know the pressure is real, but his presence is greater.

And that you would be drawn in and there's this scripture that is found in

Psalm 73 verse 15 through 17 and it's so beautifully describes to me the tension I felt this year and the moments of relief

when I get into the presence of God and I begin to see the way God sees it.

It says that like this in the passion translation. If I had given

into my pain and spoken of what I was really feeling, it would have sounded like

unfaithfulness to the next generation.

When I tried to understand it all, I couldn't.
