Yeah, thanks for having me.

This is Brad East.

He teaches theology at Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas,

and is the author of many books, including a couple about scripture, and two that are coming out

later this year. The first is called The Church, A Guide to the People of God, and the Second is called

Letters to a Future Saint, Foundations of Faith for the Spiritually Hungry.

So let's hear this question.

I'm glad you get to hear it because it is more than just the words.

You'll appreciate the angst, I think, from this kid.

So basically, how do we know that God and, like, the Bible is real? And, like, how do we know that it's like what we're reading is true?

So this is one snippet of a much longer conversation I had with this kid about all the parts of the Bible that he also has some questions about if we can know that they're true.

But I thought you would be a perfect person to answer

the angst underneath all of his other specific questions about Adam and Eve and David and

all of his other things is just how do we know that the Bible is true? How can we trust that the

Bible is true? Before we get into that question, and we'll definitely bracket the how do we know

God is real question. But before we get into the Bible question, let's just start with what is the Bible and where does it come from?
