You gotta fail. You know, if you don't fail, you don't learn. So a lot of the failures,

I don't call them losses, I call them lesson. I don't care of what business you in.

You're in the people business. You take care of people, they're gonna take care of you.

I grew up in an era where we saw Russell Simmons, we saw Jay-Z, we can be done. You know, some of the mistakes I made early on,

one of them is not knowing when to stop working

in the business and work on the business.

The second one I made was I'm a big proponent

of having seven streams of revenue at minimum.

I didn't hear anybody making music

with kind of the spiritual undertones.

So where do I fit?

I go to the mainstream major labels. They say, nah, it's too churchy for us. I go to the gospel

labels. They say it's too street for us. So I say, oh, when nobody wants me, I got to create

my own land. It has to work where it has to work welcome to circle
