Just as we were preparing for this episode, I just started going back into my timeline thinking about the importance

of being a people person. And very early on, I wasn't a people person. I just remembered

wanting friends so badly. I was a homeschooler way before homeschooling was cool. And I felt, you know, kind of behind.

My friends were, you know, playing sports together and having fun and sharing their stories.

And here I am. I only get to see them on, you know, one week day and Sunday. And I felt like, you know, I didn't have that same equity.

Well, in context, they were all at the church school. Yes. And building friendships and systems and

expectations. Yep. And they had their inside jokes that I wasn't a part of. And so I felt very

outside of it. And so what this

really caused is I felt like I had to show my value that I was, you know, important or I was

worth being a friend with. So I really went overboard trying to help people see that, right? Like, I'm really cool. And so this

really did push me to, well, I was very insecure and it really pushed me towards self-aggrandizement.
