wrote The War of Art, he wrote Turning Pro, he wrote

The Legend of Bagavance. He's an incredible author, and he helps people overcome resistance

so that they can create. His books are tiny, very easy to read, quick to read, and they are deep.

And I actually wanted to read you an excerpt today from his book, Turning Pro, tap into

your inner power and create your life's work.

Because in his books, Steve breaks down how often we show up as a pro in our day job. But when it comes to our

life's dream, we act like an amateur. We're half in, half out, half written the book,

halfway thinking through the plan for our next creative act. We let our life, our life's dreams,

our creative dreams fall by the wayside, but we show up as a pro to our nine to five,

or we show up as a pro raising kids at home, right? We'll be there at nine o'clock. We're there

throughout the night. We do all the things for the stuff that's fixed.

But when it comes to us pursuing our dreams, we can be a little too relaxed, a little too delayed.

We procrastinate.

We focus on cheap, quick pleasures versus really pursuing what it is that

makes the difference in our temporary lifetime, that contract that we have with our heart to

fulfill something great, to make our best contribution. So, interning pro, he recaps the qualities of the pro, right, the qualities of the professional.
