Welcome to the sports motivation podcast. This is your host, Niyu Shobo. As athletes, you know, some of us start from a very young age. We fall in love with our sport. And when you're young, it's not as high pressure. Let's just be honest, right? Now, I know there's a lot of athletes, you know, who are competing at a high level from early ages. I wasn't one of those athletes.

Shit, when I started football in seventh grade, I just loved to play football. Very little

pressure involved. I just wanted to play. I wanted to learn the sport and I wanted to go out

there and tackle people and run the ball and run people over.

I used to love running motherfuckers over.

That was my jam.

Anybody who's played against me, man, whenever I see guys from high school, man, they're like, you, like I used to seek out people to run over.

And that actually became my Achilles heel as I got, you know,

to the, you know, college realm and definitely pros because you just

can't do that because people aren't as easily able to be run over. But the point is when you're

young, man, it's not a lot of pressure involved. But as you progress, as you get better and better,

as you start to reach your goals and get closer to reaching your goals. For example,

for those of you want to make it pro, you're going to have to encounter a period of time

where you're asked to exhibit or showcase what you got, aka try out. Even if you're like a

high draft pick, you're going to have to go to combines.

You're going to have people watching you.

You're going to be evaluated constantly over and over and over.
