In this episode, my guest is Dr. Victor Carrión, M.D., the Vice-Chair of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford School of Medicine and a world expert on the understanding and treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in children, adolescents, and adults. 0:22.0	sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine. He is one of the world's foremost experts
0:27.0	on post-traumatic stress disorder, in particular the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder
0:31.7	in children in adolescence, although his knowledge and today's discussion certainly extends
0:36.5	to adult PTSD as well.
0:38.9	Dr. Karin is also the director of the Stanford Early Life Stress and Resilience Program.
0:43.8	And today's discussion focuses on the psychological and the neurobiological underpinnings of PTSD
0:49.1	and which treatments are most effective for PTSD.
