people like us who are seeking to evolve personally, greatly desire to contribute to humanity.

The people in need, however, are endless and there are global plights that we feel pretty

impotent to have any impact on.

So what I've come to learn is how much good we can do with our simple grocery store purchases.

So this is not an ad. It's just my normal

curiosity as I seek to evolve myself and mature in my own impact on the world. So Paul Rice,

he founded Fair Trade. And he just came out with a book about it. So I've known vaguely about this

fair trade stamp you see

on foods here and there and other products, but I didn't really realize what it meant. And honestly,

I didn't know what to trust. So in this conversation, you're going to hear Paul's story about going

to Nicaragua for a decade to help small coffee farmers.

And then he came back to America to create fair trade and to see how it helps people.

And it really doesn't cost us anymore, often zero.

You can literally walk into your grocery store, look for a product like cherry tomatoes,

for instance. And for no greater price, look on the bottom by the ones with the fair trade stamp

and know you're helping a truckload of people live a sustainable life and treat the earth

well. You'll learn that all you need to do to convert to purchasing fair trade is look at the labels. So you're going

to hear all about that in the episode here. I also really enjoyed getting to know Paul. We just really

resonated. I think you'll enjoy him as well. I actually might go with him to Costa Rica later in the

year to visit some coffee farmers with some big company CEOs
