We can also grieve what could have been,

and we all in modern life have been somewhat brainwashed

by the Hallmark commercials,

the romantic comedies,

the sitcoms,

these ideals of marketing life.

We've been inundated with these ideas,

this perfectionism, this simplicity of life

We may grieve a sense of safety and security. We may grieve ideal

holidays. I grieve and expect to grieve all the days of my life, my relationship with my

siblings, because I've gone no contact. Sometimes a common misconception with grief is that if

you're the one to leave, you're not allowed to grieve. That's just a misguided attempt to shame you for boundaries. Believe it or not,

sometimes the person deciding to leave or to end something, to leave a job, to leave a dysfunctional

boss, to move out of town, to start start afresh sometimes it's very difficult within this
