Victor, good to see you again.

I want to check in with you monthly through Trump 2.0 just to find out how you think it's going.

Let's start with a general question.

After almost five weeks, how do you assess the president's start?

I'd say I'd give him about a 90% success.

It's, you know, it's sort of like the first hundred days of the FDR New Deal on reverse.

And I give him a lot of credit because when we had the Wilsonian progressive change and we had

the New Deal and we had the Great Society, every Republican who came in after, so they were going

to reverse it and none did. he's the first that tried to

actually do it and he's made a good start there's a little miscommunication sometimes when you have

so many people doing so many things at so many levels i'm not there's a little bit of unitary

problem but i that's some the only other thing i would suggest you is I wish they'd have a little bit more tragic flavor just because of the politics of it.

When you're getting rid of this many people, you don't want to have a triumphalism.

Once in a while, somebody will say, we got, you want to say, I didn't, I didn't, I didn't run up the

35 trillion. I don't like laying people off, but I don't like taking taxpayers money that's,

and then having to borrow money to pay for people. But it gives me no pleasure, you know,

I didn't open the border. It's harder to close a border than to open. It's harder. I don't like deporting people, but I didn't let them in.

That kind of attitude that you're the person who has the reluctant and unfortunate task of playing up the mess, not creating it.

That would help, I think, on the communication.
