Not long ago, five hunters crouched underneath a death tarp, rain flashing against it.

As the diesel motor in the Toyota Land Cruiser roared and clawed its way through the sand on its way back to camp.

We had had an incredible day of Cape Buffalo hunting and then a

African storm swept in across the desert and was pounding around us.

And the only shelter for those of us riding the back was the tarp that they haul out,

protect the game animals that they haul out,

and sometimes, you know, gets gut matter and so forth on it.

I'm being a little bit dramatic folks,

but it was a wild afternoon

and that tarp didn't smell nearly as bad as getting cold sounded from the rain.

So we all climbed underneath.

And it's one of those unforgettable experiences.

Folks, this is coming at you raw and unedited from Namibia. If you listen you may hear the

fire crackling in the background crickets and if we're lucky we may hear some

lions roaring the next hour or so we're lucky we may hear some lions roar in the next hour or so.

We're sitting here around the fire at Mukongo camp, which means the hunter's camp,

in the Zambese region of Northern Namibia,

hunting with Jock Strauss of Kovasadventure safaris.

He's sitting here, my good friend and hunting partner Austin Brown,
