Summary

Hello from Cusco, where the streets are laid out like a puma and hawkers offer massages on every corner. I've been thinking about Huáscar, the last true Sapa Inca, who willingly took sacred knowledge into the underworld until the time was right for its return.

0:08.7	But this is the first time I've been to Kusko. And I'm here, if you can hear it in my, I might be a bit breathy or sound a little bit Joan Rivers.
0:17.1	I'm here acclimating and buying some wildly overpriced mountain stuff for a multi-day trek up Mount Pachutuzon in a couple of days with the Cairo and Alberto Violdo, which I'm very much looking forward to for some initiations for my healing lineage.

0:37.3	And Kusko is fascinating.
0:42.7	So it's actually the largest temple city on the planet.
0:46.2	The layout of the city at the height of Inka power, or at least the end of Inka

0:55.6	which we'll talk about in a minute, so the city was laid out like a Puma, like a mountain cat.
1:02.0	And on June 21, the sun would rise and you know that Manhattan, Manhattan Hinge effect

1:12.6	and it looks like Stonehenge, but it's Manhattan. It did that with the original, well, the Inca
1:18.6	streets, about seven of them running down towards what's now the Cori Kanche, which I was at yesterday.
1:27.4	And obviously, so that's sort of like the heart of the Puma.
1:34.7	And Saxe-Waman, which is where I was also yesterday, is like the head.
1:38.1	And this whole landscape of Wakas is what they're called, but like sacred sites or temples or rock formations
1:48.8	are all in this one language. And in the case of Kusko, it's technically the largest one
