So what do I mean specifically when I talk about the Book of Mormon Challenge?

Well, let's go into a little bit of detail on that, shall we?

Well, the earliest I ever heard of it was from Hugh Nibbley.

So this would be back 50, 60, 70 years or so ago when Hugh Nibbley originally came up with the idea of challenging people to write the Book of Mormon themselves as a defensive mechanism to defend the authenticity of the Book of Mormon.

The idea being that if you can't do it yourself, then Joseph Smith must have done it only through

revelation and by God. And the fact that you can't beat the Book of Mormon challenge means the

Book of Mormon is true. That's what it is broken down to its very most basic components. Hugh Nibbley,
