Gerard Long died of a heart attack, for thirty minutes. “The doctors expected to find the brain activity of cabbage,” said Gerard.

At 1 AM, Gerard and some buddies were streaming a World Cup rugby game between England and New Zealand. Suddenly, excited by a goal, Gerard went down. For half an hour, Gerard Long was lifeless.

Our brains may be able to survive 5-6 minutes without blood flow, but never 30 minutes. How had Gerard survived? How were his mental capabilities not damaged? Was God saving Gerard for a special purpose?

0:12.0	Number two, when I went down to the MRI, everyone expected them to be a cabbage.
0:19.0	Okay, this guy's alive, he's going to be an absolute
0:22.2	cabbage for the rest of his life. This is touched by heaven. Everyday encounters with God,
0:27.9	because God is speaking to you. And me and the church and the world. And here we listen in
0:33.8	on the conversations, these collisions of heaven and earth. Could be an encounter with
0:38.7	an angel, could be a near-death experience. Today, divine intervention. You know, most people
0:44.5	when they die for 30 minutes tend to stay dead. Heart stops. That's about it. Nope, not for Gerard
0:51.1	Long. He was a healthy guy, 62 at the time. This was back in 2019.
0:55.9	And one day, he got a little excited.
1:00.2	How you doing, Gerard?
1:01.6	Hey, Chapman, I'm doing really, really well.
1:04.3	Thank you so much.
1:05.6	You know, I don't think I've talked to someone who's been dead for 30 minutes before.
1:08.8	You look great.
1:09.9	If I could see you, said the blind man. You know, I think you look pretty good for a guy
1:12.9	that was dead 30 minutes.
1:14.7	Well, you're dead 30 minutes. Aren't you supposed to stay dead?
1:17.7	How's that way? Well, normally you do. That's right. Absolutely.
1:20.1	And the medics all agreed it was a miracle,
1:24.4	a complete miracle.
