one particular evening. I was called to a very late board meeting in the boardroom,

you know, in a sense that, hey, we're having a strategy meeting, you know, make sure you're

there. It's really important. I walked into the boardroom and the CEO when the financial

controller was sitting there, we made some small talk. But I had this

inkling. I don't know what word to use, but it was an inkling. And then out of the blue,

like a movie scene, the door opened up and lawyers with boxes walked into the door.

And at that moment, there was no doubt in my mind.

Simon Feldman's story tends to attract sensational superlatives.

He's been described as a high-flying fashion executive working for a retail giant, but also as an object of shame and embarrassment within the Jewish

community and the poster boy for white-collar crime. He's definitely guilty of embezzling more

money from his employers than anyone I've ever met.

$16.7 million is the amount in question.

Simon was convicted of that crime in 2011, and he switched the boardrooms of Sydney

for some of the toughest jails in the country.

Simon's written a book about his experience called Paying the Price,

and he joins us on Australian True Crime, along with his partner and co-author Christina

Javour.
