Happy New Year, everyone. Happy New Year. I know you're probably sick of hearing that by now because we're two weeks into January and the whole novelty of the new year has worn off. But I haven't talked to you yet this year. Okay? This is the first episode of Anything Goes of 2025. And I think it'd be impolite if I didn't wish you a happy new year. So with that being said,

0:24.1

Happy New Year. In honor of the year ahead of us, today I'm going to be sharing what I think is going

0:28.6

to be in this year and what I think is going to be out this year. I have worked on this list

0:33.5

for the past month. To be honest, it's tortured me, this list of what I think is going to be

0:38.3

in and out. I'm overwhelmed by the possibilities. I'm overwhelmed by the pressure to sort of be

0:47.2

right, which is defeating the purpose. Like, this is not about being right. It's about

0:51.1

sharing your gut feelings about what you think is going to be in and

1:13.8

But I'm late because I wanted to take my time.

1:23.0

And I wanted to make this list perfect. I wanted to present you with the highest quality. And I think, I think I did that. But I'll let you be the judge.

1:33.7

These are broad predictions that apply to society and culture as a whole.

1:39.5

These predictions don't just apply to me or just apply to any one person.

1:43.1

They're more societal.

1:46.0

They're more cultural, you know?

1:50.3

These are a combination of rational predictions and gut feelings.

1:54.6

Some of these things I want to be true, some of these things I don't want to be true.

1:58.0

I was completely unbiased in making this list.

2:08.4

I just trusted my gut and my intuition and my judgment based on what I've been observing over the last few years. This is just really what I see and feel coming. But we'll see.

2:15.1

We'll see. Hey, you know what? I could get every single thing wrong. And I'm okay with that.

2:20.6

I'm prepared. I briefly pause this episode of Anything Goes to let you know that this episode of
