we conjure up images of operating rooms

and super invasive, but life-saving open heart surgeries,

and all the things that come with getting

an electrical device implanted to keep your heart beating.

Yeah, I know that pacemakers can be literal lifesavers and they give folks with heart issues their normal lives back,

but the implantation process is easy as it could be,

doesn't sound like fun.

Not only that, but the equipment and the resources to implant such a device might not always be available in an emergency and

for anyone suffering from arrhythmia where the heart beats irregularly

sometimes minutes can be the difference between life and death so So a team of researchers at Lund University in

Sweden have developed a new kind of pacemaker that is unlike anything you can imagine.
