these awards, which are now in their seventh year.

And I'd like to say that they've grown not only in number of entries, but I think in the

kudos and attention that they bring to our finalists and our winners.

So we're very proud of these awards.

They are done in partnership with Rathbones, one of the UK's leading wealth management firms, which joins with us in celebrating

the passion, the creativity of British entrepreneurs. Some 267 entries this year were narrowed down

by our judges to around 50 finalists from all across the United Kingdom.

We met them at judging lunches around the country, which are always great fun, very lively events.

And the finalists then gathered with us in London for a gala dinner in early November to find out who would be named as the

innovators of the year. The finalists are split into regional awards in six regions and the culmination

of the gala event is the big three awards that we give. One for excellence in sustainability, one, a new category

this year, the innovator to watch, and finally the overall economic innovator of the year.

So I'm going to take you through all of that in this brief podcast. Our businesses come from across every sector you can think of.
