Welcome to Gospel in life.

I have to see the need that I have a need for forgiveness because I am a sinner.

Now that's sort of negative, that's humility.

That helps toward forgiving other people when you realize I'm a sinner too.

But that's kind of the bad news.

The good news of the vertical is the cost of forgiveness.

What God went through, what Jesus went through in order to get you that forgiveness and

that end to forgive you freely.

And that fills you with grateful joy.

And there's a need for both the humility and the joy.

In order to forgive somebody else, you have to have a lot of humility before God.

I'm a sinner too, but a lot of joy that God has accepted me.

If you only have one and not the other, it doesn't work.

And then that gets activated in your life through repentance.

And then you know that God has saved you.

And you're a sinner, but you're saved by grace.
