Tonight's episode is Shakespeare in the Book of Mormon. And the subtitle is the key to

unlocking Book of Mormon apologetics. Well, as a lot of you know, I'm very, very much a fan of Shakespeare.

In fact, I started my own podcast on Shakespeare, and it's called, Brush Up Your Shakespeare.

It started in January of this year,

by the way, for the record, today's date is November 8th, 2024. It is a Friday morning when I am

recording this. So when I say earlier this year, I mean in January of 2024. I started with

Hamlet. I went through the entire play of Hamlet in a number of episodes.

So I'm very, very involved in Shakespeare. Now, on the other hand, I'm also very involved in Mormonism and in the book of Mormon, which I have read many, many, many times over 20, maybe even closer to 30 times by this point.

After 20, you start losing track,

and at least I did. So what we have here is a natural because there is a longstanding chest

nut of an argument against the Book of Mormon or a criticism of the Book of Mormon. That's been

around for a long time. And that argument is that the Book of Mormon or a criticism of the Book of Mormon that's been around for a long time.

And that argument is that the Book of Mormon quotes Shakespeare.

Now, I'm not saying that the Book of Mormon does quote Shakespeare.

I'm saying that's the argument that we're going to be looking at today.

So that's, of course, a natural for me, Radio Free Mormon, to look at.

And yet, it never occurred to me until a listener brought it up to me

in a direct message on Facebook saying, why don't you do this thing about Shakespeare in the

Book of Mormon? Since you love Shakespeare, you love the Book of Mormon. What could be more natural,

right? What could be more natural? So I thought, yes, I will. And on top of that,
