And just to give a quick introduction, Matt, this is, I think the third or fourth, must be fourth time you've been on the show.

We love talking to you.

Just a quick summary of Matt's background.

He was a decorated captain in a Marine Corps, and then he worked in the State Department as part of the

provincial reconstruction team in Afghanistan. So Matt really happy to have you back

on and I guess pressing. We're at a weird time because it's 7.40 PM on February 1st

Thursday the show's going to be released tomorrow morning so we don't even know what is

going to happen between now in this episode being released

But I guess in the context to not to go too far off there's been there's been three US soldiers who have tragically died in a base in Jordan allegedly

by militias backed by Iran.

So we're all kind of waiting.

What's the response going to be from the United States? Is this going to escalate into a regional war which we've all been you know really praying would not happen but I guess you can already argue that it is a regional war at this point but
