Thank you so much for having me back on the show.

Last time we talked was last year I believe, well only the 22nd of January. So yeah last year.

Yeah, look you know Donald Trump has finally exited the White House and Joe Biden was just

inaugurated as the 46th president of the United States. In his inauguration

speech yesterday Brighton excuse me Joe Biden proclaimed that democracy has prevailed but it doesn't feel

like democracy has prevailed when we still have 140 million Americans who are poor

or low-income 92 million Americans who are poor or low-income, 92 million Americans who are

underinsured or uninsured, and just 3 billionaires now who own more wealth than

half of our nation's population. It doesn't feel like democracy prevailed when we still have two capitalist parties

who put the endless greed of their corporate donors over the basic needs of the people.

It feels like the oligarchy is still prevailing. It feels like one nightmare

has ended and the next one is just beginning. Isaiah, what is your reaction to Biden's

inauguration and did democracy prevail or do we have a lot more work to do?
